Chichester and Langstone Harbour survey
Chichester is a regular yacht survey location for us and this area of the site concentrates on survey needs in Chichester Harbour
For marine or yacht surveys in and around Chichester Harbour we do not in most cases charge travelling expenses; as it is local to us.
Chichester and Langstone harbours cover a large area just to the west of Selsey Bill and the notorious Looe channel and Owers. They sit at the entrance of the area known as the ‘home of yachting’ to many or Solent.
The harbours provide excellent natural shelter with entry being easiest to each harbour just before high water (around -3 hours); Entry is not advised in strongly southerly winds.
There are a large number of marinas / moorings / launching sites in the harbour such as:

We can attend any of the above as well at the many smaller locations in the harbour.
Information about marine, yacht and boat surveys in Chichester Harbour
Most surveys require a lift of the hull for either sea trial (a lift in) or for inspection of the underwater hull. The alternative can be drying out between the tides which is possible at some locations in the harbour and may be a good alternative to a costly lift in some cases.
The major marinas and yards listed above all have some kind of lifting faculty; be it a crane or yacht travel hoist. On of the largest being the Travel Hoist at Chichester Marina (01243 512731).
