Littlehampton and Arun survey
Littlehampton and the River Arun is a regular yacht survey location for us.
This area of the site concentrates on survey needs on the Arun River
As the Littlehampton area is very local to us we do not charge travelling expenses in most cases for surveys on the river. We are responsible for the surveys of many of the river craft in local authority commercial use on the river.
The Littlehampton Harbour limits extend six miles up the river Arun from the sea to the old road bridge at Arundel. Littlehampton harbour entrance is restricted by a tidal bar.
There are a number of marinas / moorings / launching sites on the River Arun such as:
- Littlehampton Sailing Club
- Harbour authority moorings / visitor moorings
- Littlehampton Marina (through foot bridge)
- The Ship and Anchor Marina
- A public slip way off Surrey Street
- Osborne of Arun
- Arundel boat yard

Most surveys require a lift of the hull for either sea trial (a lift in) or for inspection of the underwater hull. The alternative can be drying out between the tides which is possible at various locations on the River Arun.
