Gosport, Portsmouth and the Solent are regular yacht survey locations for us.

This area of the site concentrates on survey needs in Portsmouth Harbour.

As marine and yacht surveys in the Gosport, Portsmouth and the whole Solent area is local for us we do not charge travelling expenses in most cases.

The Solent encompasses a massive area and to many it is the home of yachting. We will undertake yacht surveys anywhere within the Solent.

Gosport, Portsmouth and the area encompassed by Portsmouth Harbour sits just to the west of Langstone harbour.

The harbour provide excellent natural shelter with entry being possible from a variety of channels. Entry is possible at all states of the tide. As Portsmouth harbour is home to HM’s navy and a busy commercial there are various restrictions to movement within the harbour.

Most surveys require a lift of the hull for either sea trial (a lift in) or for inspection of the underwater hull. The alternative can be drying out between the tides that is possible at some locations in the harbour and may be a good alternative to a costly lift in some cases such as for smaller vessels at the sailing clubs or on piles.
